In processing the crude palm oil derived from the palm kernel, a palm seed, which can be seen as the innermost core of the palm, will be taken out. The white and husky palm seed will be extracted and used as palm kernel oil, famously used as an ingredient of margarine, bread and essential fat used in food, cosmetics and health supplements. It is also considered as a basic raw material for the oleochemical industry, where a seed residue will be applied as a required ingredient in the production of animal food.
